Village Announces Partnership with SEED MENA in Dubai

We are pleased to officially announce our strategic partnership with SEED MENA, a part of a diversified group of companies owned by Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, with a directive to attract and invest in creative and innovative global businesses whose aim is to strategically penetrate the UAE market.

With the support of SEED, Village will be setting up operations in Dubai with the objective of potentially teaming up with the EXPO Dubai 2020 team, to replicate our success at the EXPO Milano 2015 with the “Make everywhere home” philosophy. Collectively we will be working closely with the hospitality providers to create a Village atmosphere and a sense of community for the EXPO visitors from around the world.

This partnership will also further support our desire to bring the AC Milan Academy Junior Camp to the young fans and enthusiasts in Dubai, the hub of the Middle East.  This initiative aims to attract the young fans from all over the Middle East and North African region to Dubai and promises to give them a unique and memorable experience.

Village joins Kazakhstan AC Milan Junior Camp

Village will undertake the organization of the first AC Milan Junior Camp in Astana this year, scheduled for the week of July 8-14.  The camp will be run entirely by AC Milan Youth Sector, including coaches, nutritionist, psychologist and will be an opportunity for children in Kazakhstan to come to the capital and experience the Rosso-Nero spirit at its finest.

Astana Nomad Arena, the home ground for FC Astana of the Kazakstan Premier League and FC Bayterek of the Kazakhstan First Division, will be the stadium where children will have the amazing occasion to live an unforgettable and fun experience.

The well-known AC Milan training methodology will be used to teach the youngsters the rules and best practices of the game.

Every day, two training sessions are expected during camp including educational activities focused on health, fair play, and individual and group technique, thanks to team games and video analysis.

VILLAGE @Sport Accord in Bangkok

Village participated to SportAccord convention in Bangkok from 15 to 20 April 2018 and deal with the sport concept of Uniting a global audience: Marketing and sponsorship for the future”.

Village is a member of SportAccord, a not-for-profit organisation which annually brings together representatives from more than 100 International Sports such as GAISF (Global Association of International Sports Federations), ASOIF (Association of Summer Olympic International Federations), AIOWF (Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations), ARISF (Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations), AIMS (Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport) and Associate Members. In addition, SportAccord receives the full support of the International Olympic Committee.

For Village, SportAccord is the key event to be in contact with international sporting community and industry representatives, wanting to liaise with colleagues, meet potential new partners, as well as exchange ideas and knowledge from all areas of the sports worldwide.

VILLAGE joins AC Milan for Milan Junior Camps

VILLAGE organizes in Italy AC Milan Junior camps at Serina, near to Bergamo city: one from 10 to 16 June, and one for the first time, exclusive for girls, from 17 to 23 June.

The rossonero values mean: a kid’s knowledge happens through playing. The learning process is approached through a global and complex vision, capable of valuing and developing his abilities into different fundamental dimensions. AC Milan Integrated Method respects this united vision, offering an intervention methodology able to promote the development of the athlete’s potential in terms of movement, technique and tactics, and relationships.

All staff leading the camps is by AC Milan Academy improving abilities and uncovering new talents of the young players.

Neither red, nor yellow, just white cards for everybody

Village in collaboration with Academy A.C. Milan, celebrated the International Day for Sport and Development on 6 April at Serina (Bergamo).

Lots of children participated at the event at A.S.D. Serina pitch trying to score goals, playing games and having fun together. Filippo Galli, Head of Youth Sector A.C. Milan Academy and ex footballer, involved boys and girls to a special football game and explained the fairplay in life and sport disclosing sport values.

At the end of the event, everybody took photos with the #WhiteCard, the symbol of peace, inclusion, tolerance and sport in the world, the opposite of Red Card, which represents a serious offence and expulsion of the player from the game.

Filippo Galli words were so significant for young players, as he said that celebrating the International Day for Sport and Development with the #White card remembers how football represents entertainment and at the same time delight staying with friends. A.C. Milan grew champions as Calabria, Locatelli, Donnarumma and Cutrone with fairplay techniques in life and sport.

Stefano Blanco, CEO Village, focused on the importance of sport as international activity, where boys and girls from all around the world can find a peaceful reality and pursuit their own limits, being part of a community based on fair competition, team spirit and life training.

April 6, 2018 – Peace and Sport at Serina

Village strongly believes in the importance of sport and works constantly to promote sports culture, education and social change everyday. Village, in collaboration with Ac Milan Academy, organizes an event for children passionated of sport on the ASD Val Serina camp (Bergamo) to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (https://www.april6.org/en/) .

Children, as driving force of the future, will lead the initiative of Peace and Sport promoting educational values with the symbol of the White Card, as a sign of commitment to peace all around the world. The guest star is Filippo Galli, Head of AC Milan Youth Sector and ex footbal player.

Village is proud for taking part to the tenth edition of Peace and Sport Forum.

Peace and Sport is a neutral worldwide organization using sport and its values as an instrument for peace, for example, to reinsert child soldiers back into society, to help war orphans rebuild their self-confidence, to reintegrate refugees and facilitate access to education.

The use of sport as a pedagogic tool has motivated the international sports movement into tangible action.

Last week, in Monaco, during the Forum, Village took part in three days of insight, knowledge sharing and meaningful discussionwith  ministers from more than 15 countries came together to discuss how best to work collaboratively to use sport as a tool for peace.

Peace and Sport Founder and President, Joël Bouzou, showed how peace-through-sport projects could offer to nations diplomatic sport-based solutions.

Also Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus took part to the Forum, discussing openly the key role sport has to play in the global peace movement, and how best athletes, international federations, sports properties and NGOs can work to ensure a more conflict-free society.

Former Afghanistan women’s football team captain, Khalida Popal, was the winner at the Peace and Sport International Awards, taking home the 2017 Champion of the Year Award. Other highlights included an organised meeting of more than 40 Champions for Peace, and a Run for Peace through the streets of Monaco.
